SAFE Messages for a SAFE Manitoba

SAFE Manitoba messaging comes in many forms. Sometimes it is in a commercial directly from us. Other times it's in a radio spot done in conjunction with one of our partners. And there are occasions when it is something completely different, like an interactive campaign designed to get you - SAFE Manitobans - involved and interacting.

In the Campaigns section, you will find a selection of our campaign videos, television and radio spots and other supporting materials.

Back to Basics
Understanding the basics of biomechanics can save your back and neck. So get Back to Basics - a comprehensive program designed to help save you from on-the-job back and neck injuries.

See What I See
Workplace Safety Officers are called on to investigate approximately 80 amputations per year at Manitoba workplaces. Our goal is to have each Manitoban see what these professionals see in order to prevent amputations altogether.

  Mark's Believes in SAFE Work
Mark's Work Wearhouse believes in SAFE Work and preventing slips, trips and falls on the job. SAFE Momentum helps keep workers injury and illness-free.

SAFE Production
VALE Inco is dedicated to SAFE Work through their SAFEProduction program.

  SAFE Workers Aren't Born
People don't automatically know how to protect themselves when on the job. They require information and training that will help prevent illness and injury.
  Sounds of Summer
Summer in Manitoba is great time for construction. But with more and more people working in construction, there has also been an increase in workplace injuries.

SAFE Work is Good for Business
In industries where highly skilled workers are constantly in demand, SAFE Work is Good for Business. With the economy booming, keeping workers is tough. Keeping them safe isn't.

Work Shouldn't Hurt
We can accept the fact that some things in life hurt. But work should never be one of those things.

Hazards
SAFE Work begins with the SAFE acronym - Spot the hazard. Assess the risk. Find a safer way. Everyday.

The Day After
What happens the day after a workplace fatality? How does a death affect other workers and their families? What about new workers? All these questions come down to prevention - workplace injuries and deaths are preventable.

Head and Shoulders
Heads, shoulders, backs and hands all benefit from SAFE Work. As a matter of fact, SAFE Work practices help keep your entire body protected from injuries.
Hands
Hands care, hands hold and hands guide. Hands provide the basis for much of the work we do. But approximately 10,000 times each year hands are injured, disabled or lost because of workplace injury.

SAFE Manitoba is always growing, so more campaigns are on the way!!
