April 28 is the National Day of Mourning dedicated to remembering workers killed or injured on the job.
In 2009, nearly three workers died every day from workplace injuries and illnesses across Canada.
On April 28, we remember those lost and commit to making our workplaces safer for everyone.
In Manitoba, many organizations are holding their own tributes and
ceremonies in honour of fallen workers. Here are a few events:
