Learn the basics
Health and Safety 101 is an online course designed to engage
new workers and instructors of English as an additional language and literacy
programs to teach and learn important health and safety information. Because new workers are most at-risk and most
likely to be injured, they require extra care and specialized training.
In four modules with video, audio and self-tests, the course
provides an overview of the basics of safety and health, for example, rights
and responsibilities, laws, personal protective equipment and stories from
injured workers along with other information. Resource booklets are provided
on-line for each of the target groups by clicking on the Resources button at
the top of the screen.
