Legislation
Manitoba's Workplace Safety and Health Division is responsible for the legal aspect of keeping the province's workers safe on the job. We administer seven acts and associated regulations that deal with the health and safety of workers, protection from unsafe equipment and licensing of tradespeople.
We focus on eliminating workplace and public hazards through preventative measures like education, training, cooperation, and inspections and investigations - all legislated by our provincial documents.
We work constantly to improve safety standards and - in turn - the safety of Manitoba's workforce. Please refer to our Act, Regulations and Standards for any industry-specific or labour-specific questions you have.
This section is designed to provide on-demand resource guide to keep you informed and up-to-date on workplace safety and health regulations.
