Occupational Health Centre looking for rural workplaces

The MFL Occupational Health Centre, Inc. (OHC) is looking for workplaces in rural Manitoba to participate in health and safety groups to share information, resources and best practices to better the performance of workplace health and safety in rural communities.

Funded by the WCB’s Community Initiatives and Research Program, the initiative aims to help workplaces develop health and safety programs in their own communities.

The initiative provides free teleconference education sessions and on site services.

Benefits of participating include: 

  • Gaining an awareness of health and safety issues
  • Reducing injuries, WCB claims and related costs
  • Networking with others in your community and similar workplaces throughout the province. 
  • Being recognized as a community leader for workplace safety and health.

We are looking for more workplaces in the following established areas:

  • Eastern Manitoba – Steinbach area
  • Interlake and Selkirk area
  • Parkland – Dauphin area
  • Western Manitoba – Brandon area
  • Northern Manitoba – Thompson area
  • Southern Manitoba - Morden/Winkler area
