SAFE at any age

SAFE Work for an Aging Workforce

SAFE Manitoba is bridging the generational gap and extending its specialized programs to include the aging workforce.

What began as a conference put on by A. Dolhy Ergonomics Inc. in April 2008 has turned into a program that's rolling out piece by piece, starting with a newly-released brochure and the resource materials found on the right of this page.

Dolhy presented the conference with the support of a Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba grant and the aim of providing information on aging workers’ health, safety and wellness issues, helping workplaces improve working conditions, differentiating between aging worker issues and universal issues and discussing worker issues in a concentrated setting.

More than 100 people attended and took in numerous keynote addresses and breakout sessions, completing an assessment survey at the conference’s conclusion. Feedback from the participants and workplaces which have been identified as key partners, allies and stakeholders have helped shape the direction SAFE Work for the Aging Workforce has take.
