World Suicide Prevention Day – September 10, 2010
Manitobans across the province are sharing their support for suicide prevention on September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day. The day promotes worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides. An alarming number of Canadians commit suicide daily.
What you know could save a life
If you’re interested in participating in World Suicide Prevention Day in Manitoba, you can check a variety of events hosted by the Winnipeg Suicide Prevention Network:
- 10:00 TO 11:45 A.M. at the Winnipeg Art Gallery – Panel: Helping someone survive a suicide loss – What you need to know
- 11:45 to 12:00 P.M. – Walk for Hope
- 12:00 to 12:45 – Hope Gathering at the Manitoba Legislative Building
- Free “SAFE TALK” Workshops (2.5 hours each)
- Free assist training (2 days)
